No Spring in NYC

The weather has been nuts here in the city. We went from 50's and raining on Monday and Tuesday to 92 yesterday. We spent a good part of the weekend at the Sheep's Meadow in Central Park. It is just a block from our house and totally entertaining. At one point on Saturday I seriously though that I was in South Beach Miami! I didn't have my camera with me on Saturday and it was quite a sight. There were not as many people there on Sunday, but you can definitely get the picture from these photos!

30th Birthday, Vegas Style

Here are a few pictures from my 30th Birthday weekend in Vegas. Saturday was the big surprise day. I found out that we were going to Vegas, our friends Mat and Bridget were waiting for us at the airport, we went to Japonais for dinner (YUM, I found out there is one in NYC too, so we'll be headed back soon!) and capped the night off with great seats to Cirque De Sole's Beatles Love.
Dinner at Lavo in the Palazzo followed by the Lavo Club. We got bottle service, that was a first for me!The next day we walked the strip, went shopping and had dinner at the Pink Taco in the Hard Rock Hotel.

The last day of our trip was my acutal birthday. We kept it pretty low key. We went to the Wynn and The Palms to gamble. We later headed to the Spice Market Buffet in the new Planet Hollywood. We couldn't leave Vegas without any crab legs!

Surprise Bday Get Away

Shawn planed a surprise get away for my 30th birthday. He kept it a surprise until we checked in at the airport on Saturday. I started to get a feeling a few weeks ago that we were going to Las Vegas, and sure enough I was right! Shawn did a great job of keeping the secret for over 3 months. The best part about it all was that our great friends from Memphis, Mat and Bridget, were at the Vegas Airport waiting for us......sign and all.
