Brother and Rebelution

For those of you who don't know, my brother is the tour manager for the awesome band Rebelution. They were in town on the 11th and played a sold out show at The Fillmore at Irving Plaza here in NYC. It has been so fun to watch them explode here on the East Coast. My brother does a great job with the band and is works super hard to keep every thing running smooth.
Here is our view from the VIP area. With a thousand screaming teens I was happy to be safe in a chair on the 2nd floor!
I was able to sneak onto the stage for a few songs and had this sweet view!
We love when Reb is in town. Check out their website www.rebelutionmusic.com and be sure to catch them when they hit your city!

NY Shower

My sister was so sweet and hosted a Jack and Jill shower a couple of weeks ago. We got a bunch of great gifts and a lot of gift cards that helped us fill in the necessities gaps for Baby B. We are so thankful to have Katie and the rest of our friends here in NYC. They are all so excited to have a baby in the group.
We are three weeks away from my due date.........WHAT!?! I am now going to the Dr. every week and things have been looking pretty good. Right now Baby B. is a little on the small side, but I know we'll fatten him up once he gets here. We got our stroller yesterday and are so excited to start using it. The stroller was by far our big ticket item. It will be my baby car and so much more. It was the one thing that I didn't want to live without! A special thanks to my mom and her family for all coming together to buy our baby stroller!

Weekend Getaway

Shawn and I headed down to Washington D.C. for a last weekend getaway before the baby gets here. I think they normally call this a babymoon, but due to the snowy and cold weather, I'll just call it a weekend away. I think a babymoon should include fruity drinks, sand and sea! Even with the snow and cold we had a great time seeing the historic sights of the Capital. We braved the snow storm to go see the Constitution. It was pretty cool and there was NO line which was a total bonus. We also went to the Portrait Museaum.
On Sunday my cousin and his fiance picked us up and we hit the monuments, brunch, DuPont Circle, Georgetown and a few other cute D.C. neighborhoods. All and all is was a great weekend, and we are looking forward to going back in May for my cousin's wedding. It will be baby B's first trip!
The Lincoln Memorial is one of my most vivid memories of visiting D.C. as a kid. It was great to see it again and take Shawn there for his first visit!
