Finally, our stuff is here
All of our stuff arrived yesterday afternoon. I now have to find a way for it to all fit in our little apartment. Our location is great, and really how much time will we spend in the apt. I still don't have my computer up or Internet access, so I can't show you all of my fun pictures. I've already had a bunch of celeb spottings. I am right across from ABC, so I've seen a lot of people from that network and Alec Baldwin at my Starbucks. I am loving the new adventure. Lots more posts and pictures to come as soon as Time Warner will call me back and come out to the house!

We're New Yorkers?
Well we are here! I got into NYC yesterday. Shawn found a place for us, and we'll be moving in very soon. It's a great location on the Upper West Side.
Much, much more to come soon!

Cooper Young/Last Memphis Weekend
We had a great last weekend in Memphis. The neighborhood we live in has an annual festival called The Copper Young Festival. We normally host a big party, but this year we went to a friends house and our Realtor hosted an open house at our place. The Cooper Young Fest starts Friday night with a 4 mile run. Shawn and I didn't run, but lots of our friends did. It was so much fun to watch them from our front yard. After the race the post-party ended up in our messy box filled house.
Saturday is the festival day. 100K people come to the neighborhood for the festival. We headed to our friends house. It was a great weekend to have as our last one here in Memphis. All of our friends were at the party, and we were able to say good bye to just about everyone.
P.S. It's official, we're car less. Our friends the Potters took Shawn's car on Friday!

Surprise Going Away Party
Last night we had dinner plans with a couple of our friends here in Memphis. What I didn't know was that "dinner" was really a surprise going away party.
Thanks Hark and Sally for hosting, and the rest of the gang for coming over AND keeping the secret.
We'll miss you all very much. You've been a great group of friends to us!

Katie and My Car
My sister was in town for a couple of days this week. As most of you know, Katie has been living in NYC for the past 2+ years. She has decided to take a new position in her company and move back to the SF Bay Area. She hasn't had a car in NYC, and with me moving to NYC in just over a week, it seemed like the perfect solution for her to come to Memphis and drive my car back to CA.
She set out on her journey yesterday morning and picked my dad up in Oklahoma City (he flew in from Oakland to help her drive the rest of the way. She just called me and they made it from Memphis to Albuquerque, New Mexico. That is some serious truck driving!
When Katie was here she helped me get a jump start on packing and we went to the Memphis Zoo. Baby Giraffe, only 10 days old!

Zoo Brew & Redbirds Game
With only a few more weeks in Memphis, we're trying to get as much done as we can. Between getting the house ready to put on the market and finishing work we've got a lot going on. With that said, we're still finding some time to see our friends and have some fun.
Friday night we went to the Memphis Zoo for Zoo Brew. They had beers from around the world in their main entrance. It was pretty fun, but we were a little disappointed that we didn't get to see any animals. Now I have to go back in the next couple of weeks to see them!
Last night we went to our last Redbirds game. For those of you that don't know, that is where Shawn and I met. AutoZone park will always have a special place in our hearts. Even though the Redbirds lost it was a great night that ended with fireworks.
